Flight Costs

Flight from JFK to Dar Es Salaam: $1,225 Round trip
Flight from Dar Es Salaam to Moshi: $300 Round trip
Approximate Total Flight Costs: $1,500 Round trip

When to Arrive:

In order to participate, please ensure that you are in Moshi by 8PM on the night of January 10th, 2010.

You can either fly into Dar Es Salaam or Nairobi and then take a flight or shuttle bus into Moshi or Mt. Kilimanjaro Airport, which is a 30 minute drive from Moshi.

When to Leave:

Our journey will come to and end the morning of Janauary, 22nd, 2010.

Flights out of Nairobi or Dar Es Salaam should be booked for that evening after 6PM as you will need time to travel from Moshi to either location.

Please keep in mind that shuttles from Dar Es Salaam take 8 hours, from Nairobi take five, while flights take about an hour to an hour and a half from each destination.

Finally, there is no one stopping you from extending your stay and exploring the continent further. Maybe visit the beaches of Zanzibar?
